Hello all, today (March 23) is World Meteorological Day. This is the same day in 1950, the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) was founded. There are different themes every year and this year 2024 the theme is At the Frontline of Climate Action.
The theme in itself says everything with this picture from the WMO website.
Well, the elderly hand is carefully giving the Earth to a younger hand. My perception is that the adults of this era took care of our one and only, life survival planet, the Earth which we call home and handing her to the next generation so they can enjoy living here harmoniously with nature for generations to come.
Very lovely, isn't it? Well, I wish this is how we hand our planet to our children.
The responsibility for climate action is high. So, we start now, without delay. Organisations, governments, politicians, and campaigners are alone not responsible for this climate action. It is the responsibility of all of us. It is time to take individual responsibility and act on it. It is now or never.
Children learn from us. Let us show them that, with responsibility everything is possible. Let us join hands together to save our planet as responsible children of our mother Earth and also show our daughters and sons, the responsibility of adults and be part of Climate Action.
